This story isn’t exactly about pie. It’s about pie plates!
I brought a lovely Brie to work, planning to share it with my friends. It was summer, sunny and hot enough to bake a cake outside. We wanted to bake our Brie. We managed to find two tin pie plates and made a little sun oven.
An hour after putting our oven out front where the brilliant sun would have done the trick, I went to retrieve our baked Brie. It was nowhere in sight!!!
We grumbled about this misfortune and wondered who would steal such a strange thing. Boss overheard and asked what we were talking about.
After a short chortle, he admitted the deed.
However, he explained, when he came upon the metal plates on the doorstep, he wondered why it had been left there. When he gets the courage to poke it with a stick, he discovered a smelly brownish mess and quickly moved it to the dumpster.
I retrieved the plates for future use!
