Our Café bartenders came up with this delicious libation. They even make our housemade bitters and Apple-Bourbon simple syrup!
Apple Pie Manhattan
- 2 ounces Old Forester Rye
- 1/2 ounce Sweet Vermouth, such as Dolin Rouge
- 1/2 ounce apple-bourbon simple syrup, recipe below
- 2 dashes bitters
Add all ingredients to a stirring glass with ice and stir until chilled. Strain into a chilled martini glass, and garnish with an apple chip brushed with Apple Pie Spice from the Market at Ginger & Baker!
Apple-Bourbon Simple Syrup
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup bourbon
- 1/2 cup apple juice
- 2 apples (1 red & 1 green), cut in julienne
- 6-8 cinnamon sticks
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and simmer over medium high heat until reduced by half. Cool, pour into a bottle and refrigerate.
