Abigail Lee

Event Coordinator

When an event comes off without a hitch around here, the calm, creative spirit behind the scenes is often Abigail Lee, one of our awesome event coordinators.

Born and raised in Springfield, Missouri, Abigail discovered her love for hospitality soon after graduating from high school. “I took a year off and worked in a great restaurant and truly found my passion,” she said.

Abigail then pursued a degree in Culinary Arts and Culinary Management from New York’s Institute of Culinary Education. She moved to Virginia Beach and continued working in hospitality at a culinary school, a local steakhouse and at an event planning business while her fiancée completed his time in the Navy. “As soon as he was done, we headed to Colorado!”

They made the move with their dog family; Moose the Plott Hound and Rosie the little terrier. Her fiancée is now pursuing a degree in wildlife biology at CSU, while she continues her career here at Ginger and Baker. “I love Fort Collins, it’s the same size as Springfield, but way cooler,” Abigail said.

“I really like the aesthetic and vibe here at Ginger and Baker, it’s so friendly and warm,” she continued. “And the dedication to sourcing local and sustainability is so important, especially for a big operation.”

What does she like best about event coordination? “My favorite part is the guest interactions,” she said, “I love making people’s dreams come to life and that they can experience it with friends and family. It’s definitely about the people for me.”

Her favorite kind of pie? “ I like apple pie, you just can’t go wrong with a classic done well.”
