Teaching Kitchen FAQ's
How does a class work?
- Each class is hosted by a Teaching Kitchen Instructor/Chef and a Teaching Kitchen Assistant (TKA).
- You’ll work in groups of four to six participants per table while creating the day’s delicious menu.
- You learn to cook. We do the cleaning!
- The TKA is on hand throughout class to take any drink or food orders from the Café food and bar menus.
What should I wear?
We provide aprons, but wear comfortable, casual clothes that you don’t mind getting a little dirty. Close-toed shoes are recommended to protect your feet from any spills or dropped pans, etc.
Can I order drinks or food during class?
Yes! A Teaching Kitchen Assistant is available throughout class to take any orders from our Café food and bar menu.
What happens if I can no longer make my class?
ALL TEACHING KITCHEN TICKETS ARE FINAL, NON_REFUNDABLE and must be used for the specific class for which they are purchased. However, Teaching Kitchen tickets can be transferred to friends or family should you be unable to attend. Simply forward your confirmation number to them!

What if I have a dietary restriction?
We are happy to craft a private class with you and customize according to dietary restrictions and allergies.
For regular classes, once a menu has been published, all ingredients have been ordered, so we respectfully decline any substitutions or modifications. Attendees are also welcome to order from our restaurant menu during class.
How many tickets can I purchase for a public class?
You may purchase up to eight tickets for a public class. If you’re interested in registering more than 8 guests, give us a call and we can help create the perfect private class for your group!
Tell me more about hosting a private class!
Private classes are perfect for business holiday parties, a unique teambuilding experience, or a fun way to host your clients. They are also great for getting together with friends, celebrating a birthday, wedding shower or family gathering. Send us an inquiry and we can help craft the perfect menu for your private class.
What if I’m celebrating an occasion?
We are so happy you are choosing to celebrate with us! Private classes are a great way to bring friends and family together for a celebration! You can decorate the room prior to class and have a menu tailored to the occasion.
If you are celebrating during a public class, just let the chef know at the beginning of class and we’ll make sure everyone has a chance to share good wishes!
