Ruth grew up in a tiny town in eastern Wyoming called Buffalo, a place where her family has lived for five generations. Her strong background in financial services comes from spending years working in the banking, legal and bookkeeping industries. A self-described “bookkeeping nerd,” Ruth loves expanding her accounting and bookkeeping knowledge, solving puzzles, and finding solutions.
Ruth’s been an integral part of our team since 2017, and those solution finding skills have definitely come in handy as Ginger and Baker has grown. “I think the part that’s still really exciting is that I get to learn something new almost every single day,” she said. “I get to push myself, increase my capabilities and learn so much about the restaurant industry as a whole.”
Fort Collins has also grown on Ruth. “I wasn’t completely sure I liked it when I first moved here, I thought it was too big,” Ruth said. “But now I especially like the downtown community, it’s so close knit, which makes it more of a small town to me.”
When not keeping the books balanced and the rest of us in order, Ruth likes to spend time hiking, doing yoga, watching football and listening to true crime podcasts.
Ruth’s favorite pie? “Well, I’m gluten and dairy-free, so the Orange Cranberry Pie is a good one, but if I could have anything, it would be a good apple crumble.”
