“My wife and I stumbled on Ginger and Baker after losing our way exploring bike paths around Fort Collins,” Jim said. “We were instantly drawn to everything about Ginger and Baker, including Ginger who kindly spent a good amount of time making us feel at home.”
Jim recently moved to Colorado from California with his wife Tricia and their dog Cinco. “Leaving California was difficult, but I have always felt that if I was going to live anywhere else, it would likely be Colorado,” said Jim.
Jim brings 25 years of hospitality experience to his role here at G&B, having managed restaurants and golf courses throughout California. “Initially, I went into the restaurant industry so I could work at night and play beach volleyball during the day,” he said. “Then after we had two boys, it was great having my days free while my wife worked during the day.”
Over the years, Jim found his way to upper management positions serving as the general manager of popular restaurants in Santa Monica and Venice. He also took on the role of GM at a golf course in Los Angeles and later in San Clemente. This experience helped Jim hone his management style, which emphasizes creating an enjoyable environment for guests and staff. “Happy employees set the tone for superior customer service,” he said. “It’s why I continue to work in this industry. I really enjoy creating memorable experiences.”
When not working Jim likes to play golf, bike, hike and make good food, all with Tricia by his side.
His favorite pie? “Pecan, mainly because it reminds me of the holidays with my family.”
