Plated Catering in Fort Collins

Gather Around

At Ginger and Baker, plated catering is about more than serving dinner. It’s about giving hosts the confidence to be fully present at their own event, knowing the details are handled. It’s about guests leaving the table later than they planned because the food and conversation were too good to rush.

Rooted in the hospitality of our historic grain mill and inspired by the agricultural traditions of Northern Colorado, our plated catering brings made-from-scratch food, seasonal ingredients and attentive service to gatherings throughout the region. Whether we’re welcoming guests inside the Mill or traveling to your venue, we bring the same standard to every table we set. Food prepared with intention, service delivered with care, and an experience guests will remember for all the right reasons.

Thoughtful Hospitality. Scratch-Made Food. Beautifully Served.

A plated meal changes the pace of an evening. Guests settle in. The room moves into conversation rather than the shuffle of a line. Courses arrive with intention, creating a natural rhythm with time to talk, time to pause and time to raise a glass.

The focus stays on the people around the table and the occasion being celebrated. Meanwhile, our team handles what’s happening behind the scenes with the quiet competence that lets hosts enjoy the evening.

Our menus are built around seasonal ingredients and sourced regionally. Entrées are prepared from scratch, salads are fresh, breads are warm, and desserts come from our bakery. Every element on the plate is something we stand behind.

Service is attentive without being intrusive. Our team is trained to be present when needed and out of the way when not. Glasses are refilled before anyone notices, the courses arrives at the right moment, and the small logistical questions are already answered.

Rooted in Good Food and Good Company

Wedding Receptions

A plated reception slows a wedding down in the best way. We work with couples to build menus that reflect their tastes and the tone of their celebration, from multi-course dinners to something more casual. Whatever the approach, the goal is the same: food you’re proud to serve and a team you trust completely.

Business Dinners & Corporate Events

The most productive business relationships are often built around tables, not in conference rooms. A well-executed plated dinner creates an atmosphere where people settle in, set aside the agenda and give the evening room to develop. We work with companies, professional organizations and executive teams to create corporate dining experiences that feel considered without feeling stiff and leave guests with a sense that their time was well spent.

Nonprofit Galas & Fundraising Dinners

A nonprofit event carries particular weight. You’re asking guests to give generously, then the experiences of the evening, including the meal, shape whether they leave feeling inspired or simply full. A thoughtfully executed plated dinner signals care. It tells donors that the organization takes hospitality seriously, and it creates the kind of atmosphere where the program, the speakers and the ask can land the way they’re supposed to, because guests are comfortable and present. We understand what these evenings require and take that seriously.

Family Celebrations & Milestone Events

Some occasions are too special for an ordinary meal. They deserve food that becomes part of an evening that people describe for years afterward. We bring the same high standard to private family celebrations that we bring to our largest events, because the size of the guest list has nothing to do with the importance of the occasion or the quality of the menu.

A Table to Linger Around

Good food gives people a reason to stay at the table, and that’s what a catered plated dinner is really for.

We’re proud of what we serve, because it’s made with real ingredients by people who know what they’re doing. Vegetables in season, dressings made in-house, proteins prepared with actual technique, bread that’s warm and a dessert worth talking about on the drive home combine into a perfect evening. The food at your event should feel like it was made for the occasion, and that’s exactly how we approach it.

A plated dinner from Ginger and Baker means you are serving the right meal for the room, a meal that’s prepared well and served with care.

Proudly Serving Fort Collins and Northern Colorado

Ginger and Baker is based in Fort Collins, but our catering team serves events across the Northern Colorado region.

From Loveland and Windsor to Timnath, Wellington, Greeley and the surrounding communities, we regularly travel to venues and private properties throughout the area for weddings, nonprofit events, corporate dinners and private celebrations. We work in historic venues, modern event spaces, private residences and outdoor settings. The location may change, but the standard of service doesn’t.

If you’re planning an event and aren’t sure whether we travel to your specific location, give us a call.

Come Hungry.

Your gathering matters, specifically and not generically.

We understand that the people at your tables made time to be there. The relationships being maintained or deepened over the course of the evening are worth all the effort. We think about that when we plan your event, and it shapes how we show up.

We show up prepared, communicate clearly and staff every event with people who understand what good hospitality looks like. The food will be something you’re proud to serve your guests. If something unexpected comes up, it gets handled quietly without becoming your problem. The whole point is that once you’ve handed off the details, you shouldn’t have to think about them again so you can enjoy your meal and company.

Let’s Begin

Every event starts with a conversation. Tell us about the occasion, the guest count, the venue if you have one and whatever you’re imagining for the evening, even if the picture isn’t fully formed yet.

Our team would be glad to help you build a plated catering experience that reflects the best of what Ginger and Baker does. Real ingredients, thoughtful service and food you’ll be genuinely proud to serve your guests.
