Looking to create picture-perfect pies and tarts at home?
Join us in the Teaching Kitchen as we learn to make four different flaky crust recipes! In this class, you’ll learn the science behind different ingredients and techniques and how to choose the right crust for your recipe and preferences!
We will bake off an example of each crust in class to see and taste the difference, and you’ll get to take home your doughs to chill and bake into decadent desserts later!
There will be a server in the room if you’d like to order snacks and drinks to enjoy while we bake.
What We’re Making:
- Butter Pie Dough
- Shortening Pie Dough
- Pate Briseé (Butter and Egg Dough)
- Hot Water Crust
Take-Aways:
- Hands-on instruction by a Ginger and Baker Chef Instructor
- Take home the items you made at the end of class and pie tins to bake them in
- A take-home recipe packet with all the menu items from class, as well as some bonus recipes for fillings and toppings!
