Megan grew up in upstate New York and then headed to Boston where she studied Biology at Northeastern University. After graduating, she put her degree to use working in new product development (R&D) for the Boston Beer Company (Samuel Adams & Twisted Tea). Then it was on to Arkansas where she headed up R&D for Pernod Ricard, USA.
When she, her husband, and their dog, Lucy, moved to Fort Collins, she was looking for a change. “I signed up for all the jobs available in Fort Collins. Seriously, all of them.” Megan said with a laugh. One of those jobs was a position in the Teaching Kitchen at Ginger and Baker. “But then, based on my background in project management and love for all things beer, wine and spirits, Ginger asked me to become the Beverage Manager,” she said.
“I love Ginger and Jack’s vision to be a community destination, not to mention the warm hospitality that’s so important to everyone here,” Megan said. “There are so many ways to experience the building, you can come in for any occasion, big or small.”
When not working, Megan loves trail running and hunting for mushrooms. “Sometimes I combine them both,” Megan said. “It’s a great way to spend the day.”
As for her favorite pie, Megan is a fan of our veggie quiche, but really her favorite thing is a White Negroni with gin, Lillet Blanc, Suze and a sprig of tarragon. Cheers!Back To Team
