Manager, The Cache at Ginger and Baker
With a culinary degree and many years of experience working both the front and the back of the house, Joey Smith knows what it takes to keep The Cache running like clockwork.
After a childhood spent in South Dakota and Nebraska, Joey came to Colorado to earn a degree at Johnson and Wales University. He then worked as a chef at The Stanley Hotel and Enzio’s Italian Kitchen and spent nine years as a Team Leader at Whole Foods Market in Fort Collins, overseeing budget, staff, inventory and trends for the grocery and prepared foods departments.
“Jack and Ginger are amazing and the moment I met them I knew I wanted to be a part of Ginger and Baker,” Joey said. “More than anything I love the opportunity to build something exceptionally unique for this community and love how much we give to the community.”
When not working, Joey loves spending as much time as he can with his two young sons, Oliver and Finn. He also loves food, flowers, sports and outdoor adventures. “I love being on the water or in water of any kind,” he said. “I’m also a big dog fan and love to take my two boxers on walks and hikes.”
His favorite pie ever is Chocolate Peanut Butter, but Ginger and Baker’s Cookies and Cream can also tempt him.
