Elianna Durfree

Events Sous Chef

If you’ve ever been to an event catered by Ginger and Baker, you’ve probably enjoyed one of the exquisite charcuterie boards created by Chef Elianna Durfee, who’s passion for engineering and creativity come together in spectacular displays.

“I love doing the charcuterie, building a board is a free flowing kind of process, meticulous and grand at the same time, Elianna said. “It’s how my brain works, I love the attention to detail and the art of it, too.”

Born in Loveland, Elianna grew up in Fort Collins, then graduated from Roosevelt High School in Johnstown. “I worked front of house at area restaurants for a few hears, but then, I found Ginger and Baker and never looked back.”

Elianna joined G&B as a prep cook in 2022 and soon moved into helping cater private events with Chef Deb Traylor and Chef Chase Gibson. “There’s a great chance to be creative with catering, every event is different,” Elianna said. “It’s where I learned how much I like cooking as a career.”

“I grew up in a family of good cooks, I’ve always been around good food and always appreciated it but only cooked on special occasions,” Elianna said. “Now I know I want to take cooking as far as I can, I’d love to have my own restaurant someday.”

When not working, Elianna enjoys  learning to play pool. “I love math, so I think that’s why I enjoy playing.”  She also loves watching movies with her fiancé and playing with her dogs, Theotis, a Great Pyrenees, and Charlotte, a beagle/lab mix.

Her favorite pie? Cold, creamy quadruple coconut cream.
