Alex hails from St. Louis, Missouri, where he earned his degree in management from University of Missouri-Columbia and then earned a culinary degree from Arizona’s Scottsdale Culinary Institute.
The culinary degree led to an appreciation for flavor profiles, which Alex uses to create innovative and thoughtful cocktails. He created the cocktail lists at St. Louis’s Basso, alongside James Beard Award-winning chef Patrick Connolly. He also managed wine bars, developing an extensive knowledge of wine before relocating to Fort Collins to head up our beverage team.
“I’ve never been part of a multi-venue project like Ginger and Baker before,” Alex said. “It’s one of the most exciting things I’ve had a chance to help create.”
Alex’s favorite pie? “When it comes to dessert, I want it to be sweet. I love a glass of zinfandel or a nice whiskey with chocolate, coconut or banana cream pie.”
When not working, Alex likes to follow sports, go to the zoo, and hang out with his dogs, Buford and Wally.Back To Team
