My mom always made a big deal for birthdays for me and my sister and would make us anything we wanted. My sister always wanted crazy-fancy cakes, but my favorite was chocolate mousse cups. Mom would paint cupcake liners with chocolate, then fill them with chocolate mousse and whipped cream on top. We even had it published in a cookbook for my elementary school.
I’ve turned that into a chef’s special pie here at Ginger and Baker – chocolate graham cracker crust, mocha mousse and fresh whipped cream on top. Thanks for always inspiring me, mom!Back to Pie Stories
