DESCRIPTION:Looking to create picture-perfect pies and tarts at home?\n\nJoin us in the Teaching Kitchen as we learn to make four different flaky crust recipes! In this class\, you’ll learn the science behind different ingredients and techniques and how to choose the right crust for your recipe and preferences! \n\nWe will bake off an example of each crust in class to see and taste the difference\, and you’ll get to take home your doughs to chill and bake into decadent desserts later!\n\n\nThere will be a server in the room if you’d like to order snacks and drinks to enjoy while we bake.\n\nWhat We’re Making: \n\nButter Pie Dough\nShortening Pie Dough\nPate Briseé (Butter and Egg Dough)\nHot Water Crust\n\nTake-Aways: \n\nHands-on instruction by a Ginger and Baker Chef Instructor\nTake home the items you made at the end of class and pie tins to bake them in\nA take-home recipe packet with all the menu items from class\, as well as some bonus recipes for fillings and toppings!\n\nPolicies \n\nTeaching Kitchen Class and In-House Event tickets are non-refundable. If you need to reschedule up to one week before your booked event\, please contact us to transfer your ticket to a different event. Within one week of your class\, we can only offer a transfer if we are able to re-sell the tickets\, as product has already been purchased.  In the case of emergency\, please contact us at (970) 286-0503 or teachingkitchen@gingerandbaker.com and we will do our best to accommodate.\nIf you would like to transfer your tickets to a different guest\, please forward your email confirmation to them and ensure they check in with the name and email address used to purchase the tickets.\nWe reserve the right to cancel due to low attendance\, inclement weather\, or emergency. We will notify all participants by email at least 24 hours prior to the event to let you know of cancellations\, and you will have the option to be refunded to the original payment method\, or to apply your ticket price to another class or event.\nPlease let us know if you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions. We will do our best to accommodate but may not be able to change certain menu items.\nWe request that participants wear comfortable\, closed-toe shoes\, hair pulled back\, and clothes they don’t mind getting a little messy.  If you wish to sit with a certain person or group\, please note the names of your other party members in the appropriate field at checkout. Guests will be seated in groups of 4-6\, parties will be combined. We cannot accommodate requests to work in groups of less than 4.\nA server will be available in the room to order food and drinks from our Café menu. For guests 21+ with proper photo ID\, drinks are available during class from our Café bar.\nThis class is intended for adults\, ages 18+.
