Classic Custards

Join us for a sweet culinary treat as Chef Deb Traylor shows you how to prep and perfect a variety of traditional sweet and savory custards. In this class, you will work hands-on to prepare (and enjoy) a traditional creme brulee, a classic quiche, chocolate pot de creme, and creme anglaise. While you’re simmering and stirring, enjoy a complimentary glass of wine or beer from our bar (additional beverages and food are available to purchase throughout the class.) At the conclusion of class, you’ll have the opportunity to sample and savor your custards, and take home any leftovers along with a recipe booklet filled with everything you need to recreate these treats at home.

Participants must be 21+ with photo ID. We request that participants wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes. Please let us know if you would like to sit with a certain person or group. Registration closes at 5pm the day before the event. While this class does include some light snacking during the class, no full meal is provided. We recommend eating before class or taking advantage of ordering from our full Cafe menu.

The cancellation policy for the Teaching Kitchen at Ginger and Baker allows for a full refund within 24 hours of a purchase and a partial refund up to 48 hours before your scheduled class. Once within 48 hours of your class, we no longer can offer refunds for cancellations, but can happily transfer your registration to a friend or family member designated by you to attend in your place.
